As a donor to Dover Adult Learning Center, you help to transform the lives of thousands of youths and adults in your community.
Since 1968, over 7,500 people have finished high school at DALC.
Last year, overall enrollments exceeded 4,000.
Every year, 1,200 people gain critical literacy skills and improve their lives at work, at home and in the community.
Your donations specifically help us provide support services so that students can be successful at all levels and stages of their education.
A homeless woman and her daughter got a bus ticket from the new Counselor Emergency Fund to stay with family until a local shelter had room.
Students received 68 scholarships for high school classes, HiSET test fees, and graduation caps and gowns.
50 children received childcare while their parents attended English, math and high school equivalency prep classes at DALC.
When basic needs are met and barriers are lifted, students move forward with their education.
Elizabeth moved right into the next level college class without re-testing due to our College Success Partnership with Great Bay Community College.
Edward, pursuing his Dover Adult High School diploma, is now a proud role model to his four children.
After spending 8 years learning English, earning her driver’s license and becoming a US citizen, Linda just completed LNA training and will resume her career in health care.
