English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESL)

Learn vocabulary, grammar and conversation skills to improve your English reading, writing, listening, and speaking, or prepare and apply for US Citizenship.

Call the office at (603) 742-1030 to make an appointment for a placement test, to discuss your options, and register. In-person classes are held at the Adult Learning Center, next to the Dover Public Library, unless otherwise indicated. Pre-registration is required.

In addition to the classes listed below we are also offering two Advanced ESL Classes through the Enrichment Program.

ESL Classes

ESL classes teach basic vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation skills to non-native speakers of English through reading, writing and discussion. Students can only begin class at the beginning of the month following their registration.

Conversation Group

New students welcome anytime.

Come practice your English speaking skills: pronunciation, vocabulary, conversation and listening. Fridays during the school year 10:00 a.m. to noon.
