This workshop aims to create simple pieces of art to awaken self-awareness while promoting self-care and compassion. Activities will not require experience in art and will be very "loose" so that one may be able to express and appreciate their own unique creations. This workshop is a place to feel safe and relax while experience, embracing, transmuting, and releasing your emotions through a creative channel.

Note: If you cancel within 7 days of this class start date you will not receive a refund because the Art Center is providing all of the materials for you.

Nettie is a resident artist at The Art Center in Dover, NH. She's been a facilitator and teacher for over 20 years in the public school and arts sectors. She is also a writer on conscious awareness and has a featured blog on She holds a Master's Degree in education and a Bachelor's of Fine Arts.

Card-Making Workshop - "Unity in the Community"

Tuition: $30.00 Dover Residents: $25.00

Date: Saturday, May 15, 2021

Time: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

You can expect each workshop to last 1.5-2 hours based on need.  There will be in introduction of the theme, products and how to properly use them, and an example of a designed masterpiece.  At the end of the workshop you will be able to take what you made home or leave it with the instructor to mailed out to a local servicemen or women in the community. A great way to share a note of gratitude with those who help with keeping the community safe.

For the past two years Courtney has taught workshops on the Seacoast.  She has been invited to do a presentation of thank you cards for the Work Ready NH program in Portsmouth.  Her mission is to keep the art of handwritten message alive!
