Singing Doo-Wop

Tuition: $75.00 Dover Residents: $70.00

Start Date: Saturday, September 29, 2018
End Date: Saturday, November 17, 2018

Time: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Due to popular demand during a "United in Song" session, this class focuses exclusively on the timeless vocal harmony music of the 1950s and early 1960s prior to the British Invasion. Did you always wish you could sing like the Platters, the Drifters, Dion and the Belmonts, and other similar groups when you were growing up? Or are you a singer interested in exploring a genre of music that was all about the vocals? In this class, we will learn harmony parts to a variety of familiar doo-wop classics. Interested students will have an opportunity to sing lead vocals as well. The class is open to anyone, even if you have never sung in any form before. Bring your voice and a smile, and let's sing some good old doo-wop!
