In this course, students will investigate key events in United States history with an eye to critical thinking. Beginning in the Colonial period and stopping at various points and events in our shared timeline, we’ll look at important events and the people involved from several different perspectives, writing and thinking about the facts and myths of the stories we’ve all been told. Students will be expected to read extensively (sometimes 20-30 pages between classes) and write through a variety of genres, including response and analysis.
